Mountain resorts

The three most important mountain resorts in Val Gardena are: Ortisei, which is considered the most important one, Santa Cristina and Selva di Val Gardena. Ortisei is the most famous and elegant mountain resorts in the Dolomites and it’s also famous thanks to its wood-carving tradition. Santa Cristina is the quietest mountain resort in the valley and it’s very advisable for Italy family holidays; Selva di Val Gardena is suitable for sport fans, as this mountain resort hosts important sport races in December at the foot of the Sella and Sassolungo mountain massifs every year.
